Biomass Power Production
In Biomass Power Production, you'll learn ...
- Meaning of the term "biomass fuel"
- The current use of biomass fuel for electric power generation
- How gasification works
- Types of feedstocks available for biomass fuels
Overview
This 4-hour course covers the concept of using biomass as a fuel source for electric power generation. The course reviews the types of biomass that can be used as fuel and the availability of the fuel supply. The methods to convert the biomass to a usable fuel are discussed as well as the issues of generating power with biomass. The environmental benefits and costs of using biomass as a fuel source are also discussed.
