Overview
This 2-hour course reviews The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007. This law is intended to complement and expand on the Energy Policy Act, which was passed in 2005. The course provides a brief overview of all 16 sections of the Energy Independence and Security Act. The Act includes new CAFE standards, renewable fuel standards, improved standards for appliances and lighting, and new expectations for the electric utility industry to respond to the need for energy efficiency.
Specific Knowledge or Skill Obtained
This course teaches the following specific knowledge and skills:
- Understand the new CAFE standards for vehicle efficiency.
- Understand the structure and components of the new law.
- Understand the changes to lighting systems regarding energy efficiency.
- Know what changes are expected of electric utilities to meet the energy needs of the United States
Certificate of Completion
You will be able to immediately print a certificate of completion after passing a multiple-choice quiz consisting of 15 questions. PDH credits are not awarded until the course is completed and quiz is passed.
