Change Orders Block 1 - What is a Change Order?
In Change Orders Block 1 - What is a Change Order? , you'll learn ...
- What is a change order?
- Where do change orders fit into the construction process?
- Why have change orders?
- When are change orders made?
Overview
Changes are inevitable on any project because it is generally not feasible from a cost or schedule standpoint to produce perfect bid documents.
Once we've established that change is inevitable, then the obvious question arises "How do we deal with change?". Project changes that occur after a contract is signed are handled by creating and processing change orders. In this course - the first in a 3-part series on Change Orders - we answer the question "What is a Change Order?".
