Fundamentals of Liquid Flow Measurement
In Fundamentals of Liquid Flow Measurement , you'll learn ...
- An understanding of the evolution of flow measurement
- A familiarity with liquid flow and flow measurement-related terminology
- Conditions that can impact flow meter accuracy, repeatability, and reliability
- Current methods of measuring filled pipe and open channel liquid flow rates
Overview
This course discusses a wide variety of methods of measuring filled pipe and open channel liquid flow. Included is a brief history of flow measurement technology, various methods of liquid flow measurement currently in use, things that can affect measurement accuracy and repeatability, and things to consider when selecting flow instrumentation for a particular application.
Flow element and transmitter designs will be discussed and the advantages and disadvantages of each dependent upon the type of flow measurement application.
