Overview
This course will help you apply the foundation taught in Understanding Performance and Productivity to real work settings.
Students can use these practical tools to construct performance measurements processes that include graduated performance levels, feedback loops, and defensible documentation of results for "hard" and "soft" skills as well as any activity requiring a measurement system. We also present a guideline for creating meaningful goals, holding effective goal setting meetings with employees, and creating an effective and practical performance assessment process.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Differentiate between work tension and work stress.
- Apply methods for reducing work stress for oneself and others.
- Identify the employment risks associated with undefined expectations.
- Clarify employee performance expectations.
- Analyze the critical difference between being productive and merely being busy.
- Develop a performance measurement range for objective and subjective activities.
- Identify the hard and soft skills associated with a job function.
- Define soft-skill activities such as teamwork, oral communication, and customer service.
- Design a performance measurement process for hard and soft skills.

You will be able to immediately print a certificate of completion after passing a multiple-choice quiz consisting of 13 questions. PDH credits are not awarded until the course is completed and quiz is passed.
