Overview
This course is the last part of a five-volume series on the U.S. energy markets. This volume describes the trading and capital markets for natural gas, electricity, and petroleum products. The course describes how markets are sometimes manipulated and gives case examples.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.

This course teaches the following specific knowledge and skills:
- The concepts of financial markets
- How natural gas and electricity are physically traded
- The characteristics of an energy contract
- The types of contracts used in energy markets
- How the markets have been manipulated in the past and the safeguards to prevent recurrences.
