Skills Development - Critical Thinking
In Skills Development - Critical Thinking, you'll learn ...
- Strategies to apply critical thinking
- Emotional and irrational fallacies that can negatively affect critical thinking
- What influencers are and how they can affect your mental state
Overview
You are your thoughts. The quality of your life is therefore based on the quality of your thinking, but we rarely question it critically. We think and act out of routines, impulses, emotion, or persuasion within our comfort zones rather than doing what makes genuine sense. Since most people have an aversion to change, questioning the status quo makes people nervous. Conclusions of critical thinkers are also often unpopular as they threaten the ego of everyone involved. Rather than rock the boat, they may keep good ideas quiet. Understand how to apply all of this in your everyday life. In this course, we will focus on critical thinking, managing deception and fallacies, persuasive arguments, checklists for rational decisions, optimal understanding, and explanations.
An application activity form is also included to assist you with the implementation of the techniques in the course.
