This course describes the operation and use of microturbine generators. These small turbines are ideally suited for baseload supply for microgrids and other applications. This course describes how they work, the different designs available, and their performance and cost data. An overview of some of the applications of microturbines is presented as well
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the operation of a microturbine.
- Identify the components of a microturbine.
- Describe the performance characteristics and operating limitations of a microturbine.
- Identify the cost components of a microturbine.
- Explain microturbine efficiency.
- Describe potential applications and benefits of microturbines.
Certificate of Completion
You will be able to immediately print a certificate of completion after passing a multiple-choice quiz consisting of 20 questions. PDH credits are not awarded until the course is completed and quiz is passed.
