This is an engineering level course on the circuit design of single stage, voltage feedback operational amplifier circuits. It shows how to easily characterize the input and output characteristics using basic network analysis methods. Several generic circuit types are presented.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Derive the transfer function from loop equations using concise methods.
- Determine gain and phase relationships from the transfer function.
- Calculate input impedances.
- Apply practical techniques for offsetting, stabilizing, and prototyping working circuits.
