Overview
In Modulation - Volume III - Demodulation, you'll learn ...
- What is demodulation and why is it needed
- Demodulation techniques for CW, amplitude, frequency, phase, and pulse modulation
- Nonlinear devices that are used to recover the modulating frequencies from the RF envelope
Overview
This 3-hour course is the third in a series of three courses on RF modulation. This course covers de-modulation techniques for all forms of modulation mentioned in volumes I and II of this series including CW, amplitude, frequency, phase, and pulse modulation.
Specific Knowledge or Skill Obtained
This course teaches the following specific knowledge and skills:
- How CW demodulation works
- The requirements for recovery of intelligence from an AM signal
- The theory of operation of AM demodulators
- FM demodulation circuit operation for the phase-shift and gated-beam discriminators and the ratio-detector demodulator
- The purpose of a regenerative detector
- How a slope detector aids in the demodulating FM signals
Certificate of Completion
You will be able to immediately print a certificate of completion after passing a multiple-choice quiz consisting of 20 questions. PDH credits are not awarded until the course is completed and quiz is passed.
