This 4-hour course is the second of two courses on noise and vibration control related to equipment. This course covers outside noise propagation issues as well as noise issues related to HVAC equipment including ductwork, vents, fans, and grilles.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the physics of outdoor sound propagation.
- Describe the effects of distance on noise levels.
- Explain how barriers influence sound propagation.
- Perform an indoor sound analysis.
- Describe the effects of various noise-control treatments.
- Calculate the noise impacts of HVAC equipment.
