Overview
This 4-hour course explains how the Nation’s electric power grid could be used to deliver broadband internet service to every home or business that receives electricity. Broadband over Power Lines is a new technology that may be able to compete with CATV and DSL services and is poised to provide a third alternative for internet service.

This course teaches the following specific knowledge and skills:
- What is meant by BPL
- The current status of broadband delivery in the U.S.
- The difference between Access BPL and In-house BPL
- The different BPL architectures
- The equipment used to deploy BPL
- The different potential BPL business models
- Regulatory issues facing BPL providers
