Overview
Under proper conditions, wood can give centuries of service. However, under conditions that allow the development of wood-degrading organisms, wood degradation will start to occur. Protection for the wood must be provided during processing, merchandising, and use. This course is intended to provide the student with an understanding of the different types of organisms that can degrade wood.
Specific Knowledge or Skill Obtained
This course teaches the following specific knowledge and skills:
- Fungus damage and control
- Different types of mold, fungal and chemical stains
- Insect damage and control
- Marine borer damage and control
Certificate of Completion
You will be able to immediately print a certificate of completion after passing a multiple-choice quiz consisting of 10 questions. PDH credits are not awarded until the course is completed and quiz is passed.
