Vehicle Detectors
In Vehicle Detectors , you'll learn ...
- Types of Vehicle Detections
- Vehicle Detection Design and Operations
- Loop Detection Installation
- Calling Detection
Overview
This five hour course will discuss the different types of vehicle detectors used in the design of a signalized intersection in order to control traffic.
At the conclusion of this course, the student will be able to determine the type, function, size, and placement of vehicle detectors to obtain the desired operations to move traffic through an intersection efficiently. Participants will also better understand the design standards and requirements of different States and/or local governing agencies having jurisdiction.
