Instructor had many good examples to work through.

It seemed more like a crunched college course than a continuing education course. Very much focused on number crunching. Also we only got through about half the material provided for the course.

Enjoy the real life experiences and real world examples

I believe that the instructor was extremely knowledgeable on the material and would take classes from him in the future. He was also very cognizant of time, which I appreciate in webinars.

1. Presenter very obviously knew what he was talking about; it was not as well shared with others.
2. Handout was difficult to read, many scanned pages, some pages scribbled on by presenter were illegible.
3. The presentation (yes I know 7 PDH) was too long for one sitting, very obviously a consolidation of 8 papers, each of which could have been assigned two hours to them. As it was, the presentation was not completed in the 7 hours allocated, and the latter part was not presented at all. There were too many examples that, while not duplicates took too much time to present. and some could have been skipped.
4. A list of all abbreviations used would have been helpful.

Excellent presentation, instructor is extremely knowledgeable.
Marshall Hinson |
The instructors use of the slides (flipping back to the best examples) while doing the calculations was very helpful in reinforcement of the subject points.

I appreciate seeing the ASD and LRFD results comparisons. Thank you.
Michael Mielnik |
Excellent presentation. Very comprehensive.
Paul Kjorlie |
Very In-Depth analysis by the presenter. Not sure who would design beams for just above plastic failure, but it was interesting to see the analysis anyway. Thanks to Dr. Nasra for his detailed presentation.

It would have been better if the slides were updated. But overall it was a pretty good experience.

A lot of content for a single Webinar - would really enjoy this if broken into sections.
Very much enjoyed the presentation style.
Bob Schwartz |
instructor's presentation was excellent -
he explained everything in a very clear and understandable manner

Needs better time management to cover all the material (Beam-column design) in the presentation.

Good course. I found it a good introduction for a mechanical engineer.
