Excellent Material, this is lost and/or not emphasized enough in the profession. Public and private clients, contractors, suppliers, etc. are not aware of the professional engineer's responsibilities and pressure on engineers is ever growing. Public entities are right at the top of this concern.

Concise and to the point. Good case studies, but I think they could have taken a more nuanced approach to Case Study 2. I don't think swapping for a cheaper and more maintenance intensive weld is an objectively un-ethical decision.
