A good overview of stress principles in piping but I would have liked to see some additional examples and more information about how to calculate specific types of stresses that result from pipe blowdown reaction forces or changes in flow momentum.

The content is a good overview, but in some parts there are typos, grammatical errors, and confusing presentation.

It's a good course for basic to intermediate level piping and stress engineers seeking to develop their skills in this particular area. It is mainly directed toward those who aim to work with B31.1 and B31.3 ASME codes. However, it does touch a bit upon B31.4 and B31.8. Annexure-1 contains a summarized description of the differences between B31.1 and B31.3 which I found quite informative. Good for any beginner level or generally interested mechanical engineer.

This was a very informative course and a good refresher. The best of the piping module courses.

I have to concur with an earlier review, the paper needs to be proof read and corrected. It would be of great interest if some real world sample problems are given.

Book was very good at explaining things. Before reading the book, my understanding of pipe stress analysis was just a bunch of dots. This course allowed me to connect the dots of Pipe Stress Analysis and give me the big picture. I now have a better understanding of pipe stress analysis.

Excellent Course. Laid out very well. Good practical rules of thumb. Good explanation of 31.1 and 31.3 stress calculations which reading the codes can be very confusing. Really like the comparison tables 31.1 to 31.3

Good summary of the subject. Enables me to understand the stress guys a little better, and hopefully incorporate their needs from the start of design.

The subject material for this course was good. However, I would recommend reviewing both the subject material and test for grammar and spelling.
