Suggest add a discussion about codes vs. engineer responsibility. Is the engineer sometimes responsible outside the code? For instance if a live load is specified in the code, say 20psf, but the engineer can easily infer that if the structure is used for storage, load could exceed 100psf, would he/she be negligent in not designing for 100psf, or load limit signange?
