Good information that was easy to follow and comprehend.

I enjoyed the discussion on cell chemistry and how cells may be combined to form a battery, but I found the discussion on different types of cells to be hard to follow.

Very old and outdated. This material needs to be update to be more relevant. The dates of the material should be provide in the course description.WEBMASTER NOTE: Thank you for your review. Given the proliferation of battery powered tools, this area was not adequately covered

It is a pretty good course for what it covers, but very dated. While it is understandable that it would be difficult to keep up with all the advances in batteries, particulaly associated with electric cars, this course needs significant updates such as covering Li -ion which dominates the consumer market. Simply reading this one would think Ni-Cad is close to state of the art and it is a deing technology. Relatedly, there was no discussion of memory, a particular issue with ni-cad.

Great presentation on batteries.
Jeanne Donhiser |
It was a good course in teaching the basics but I did expect it to go a little further then it did. I would recommend this class to someone looking to start understanding batteries.

The conclusions are redundant to the core description of the course. Also, the pictures are outdated, the course need to be reviewed. It looks like an ancient document.
Robert Elburn |
An excellent course on battery basics.
