This webinar provided several different aspects of engineering ethics and went over the definitions of each facets and provided an real-life example as well. I had hoped, however, that it would go into detail about the repercussions of violating the code. I believe that this course was educational and helpful overall, but could benefit from adding in the consequences.

ET-1006 is well written and has an interesting presentation on ethics. I would recommend it to engineers and construction specialists. Relative to course material, Table 1 from the Swiss study, the author did not indicate if all 800 causes of structural failure pertained to engineers faults, or not. Does the classification, "other", pertain to any influences beyond the engineers control ... such as extreme forces of nature ... structures hit by space junk ... etc?
