Adam C. Leigland, P.E., AICP
Adam C. Leigland, P.E., AICP received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and an M.S. in Civil Engineering and Masters of City Planning from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a registered engineer in California, Arizona, and New Mexico, and is a certified city planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners. His areas of expertise include infrastructure service provision and infrastructure planning and programming.
Mr. Leigland began his career as an engineering officer in the US Air Force, where he served in the US, Honduras, Panama, England, and Italy. After leaving the Air Force, he worked first for the California Department of Transportation and later the San Francisco County Transportation Authority as a transportation planner. He then returned to Europe where he was first Chief Engineer and later Deputy Director of Public Works at a NATO base in northern Italy. He is currently the Director of Public Works for Santa Fe County, New Mexico.
Mr. Leigland is a member of the American Planning Association and the Society of American Military Engineers. He is the co-author of Infrastructure Planning and Programming: A Smart and Sustainable Guide (publication forthcoming, Routledge Press, London).
