Cory Horton, P.E., MS, CFM, CPESC

Cory Horton, P.E., CFM, CPESC, MS, earned his BS in Civil Engineering and his MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison. He is a licensed professional engineer in four states and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Mr. Horton has worked in the engineering profession for over 12 years. He has worked for in private consulting and currently works in the public sector. He has extensive experience in water resources, geotechnical, structural, and environmental engineering. Mr. Horton conducted research on the remediation of contaminated soils using air sparging and is a Certified Floodplain Manager and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control.

Mr. Horton’s focus is on land development, storm water, wetlands, and erosion and sediment control. Mr. Horton is responsible for reviewing storm water permits, creating and updating storm water ordinances, storm water management plans, and wetland conservation enforcement. He has been a project manager for projects including; low impact development, bioengineering, water quality studies, lakeshore stabilization, stream bank stabilization, land development, and slope stabilization. Mr. Horton conducts educational seminars for engineering professionals and has presented at recent stormwater and groundwater technical conferences.

Other experience includes: landfill design and permitting, environmental investigations and permitting, coastal engineering, water resources analysis and design, geotechnical investigations, structural analysis and design, stability analysis, and computer modeling.
