Ismail Emre Kucukkirca, P.E., M.Sc.

Ismail Emre Kucukkirca, P.E., M.Sc., has over 18 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and construction. His career began in the United States, where he spent eight years working in geotechnical engineering, including subsurface investigations, soil and rock characterization, foundation design, slope stability analysis, soil improvement, and dynamic pile testing. He contributed to major infrastructure projects such as the SR 520 Bridge Replacement, Alaskan Way Viaduct Tunnel, West O’ahu/Farrington Highway Project, and the Kamehameha Highway Guideway Project in Honolulu, HI.

In 2015, Mr. Kucukkirca relocated to Istanbul and founded Kırca Yapi, a general contracting company specializing in residential and industrial construction. As the Technical Director and Owner, he has overseen the development of several building projects, managed diverse teams, and ensured project quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery.

Mr. Kucukkirca received a Master of Science in Geoengineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he conducted research on the long-term performance of geosynthetics in landfill applications, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bogazici University. He is licensed P.E. in Washington State.
