Robert C. Hoffman, Jr., P.E., CFEI

Robert C. Hoffman, Jr., P.E., CFEI, graduated in 1984 with high honors from Michigan Technology University (MTU) with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He has a PE license through the state of Michigan and is a certified investigator for fire and explosions.

Continuing education throughout his career has allowed him to become master certified in both force failure testing and design for safety. He is also a certified statistical black belt.

His career has exposed him to over (30) years of experience in the consumer goods industry. This experience included roles in product engineering, design/development, and product approval. Product safety and product field investigations have been the primary focus of the latter half of his career.
