Jude K. Tomdio, MS EE
Jude K. Tomdio, MS EE, is an Electrical Engineering professional, with several years of experience working in both Onshore and Offshore projects. He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University and his undergraduate degree is from the University of Houston. Jude has held several key roles in many important engineering projects throughout his career. He recently served as a Lead Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System Engineer in the Shell USLNG project, both shore and in several key roles in various offshore projects, including the Chevron Jack-St. Malo and Big Foot projects where he was the lead design review engineer from Front End Engineering Design (FEED) to delivery of the vessels. He was a lead engineer on the Hess Stampede, Q4000, Thunder Hawk, Marco Polo, etc. and many other offshore production and drilling facilities both in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, the North Sea, Asia, West Africa, Artic, and around the world.
In addition to his regular daily tasks, while working for the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Jude created and instructed several engineering training courses on Offshore Engineering practices on the design, installation and operation of offshore vessels and Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODU). He maintained a very close working relationship with the United States Coast Guard marine safety center and he served as a Class representative on several MODU committee meetings during his tenure at ABS.
