Joseph B. Kumor, P.E. (Retired)
Joseph B. Kumor, P.E. (Retired), is a telecommunications professional with over 42 years of experience in engineering, installation, and planning of network equipment. He has chaired committees that took the original Bell Atlantic and Bell Labs Standards and established the Engineering, Installation and Quality Standards for Verizon which merged the standards of NYNEX, GTE, and MCI. As a Manager of Quality Assurance, Mr. Kumor has directed specialists and contractors through the engineering and installation audit process across all of the Verizon regions in the United States. He also resolved engineering and installation issues involving over 25 Verizon suppliers.
Mr. Kumor was a licensed professional engineering for over 33 years with licenses in New Jersey and Maryland. Since retiring from Verizon in 2017, Mr. Kumor has done consulting work for an engineering and installation company that installs telecommunications equipment. Mr. Kumor has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree and an MBA in Finance. He is a life member of the IEEE.
