Amitosh De, PhD

Amitosh De, PhD, is currently an Advisor for the Department of Automobile Engineering at MCKVIE, a premier post-graduate engineering college in West Bengal. Previously, Dr. De held a professorship in Mechanical Engineering at Indian School of Mines (ISM) where he taught Engineering Mechanics; Graphics and Machine Drawing; Strength of Materials; Machine Design; Thermodynamics; Fluid Mechanics; Thermal Engineering; Automobile Engineering; Heat Transfer; Refrigeration and A/C, Production, Planning and Control; Operation Research; Material Handling and Plant Layout; and Surface Mine Mechanization.

In 1985, Dr. De was given the Silver Medal from the Mining, Geological and Metallurgical Institute of India. In 1987 and 1992, he was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Institution of Engineers, a national organization of engineering professionals.

A published author, Dr. De has written several books including "Automobile Engineering (2004 and Revised 2010)" and "Vehicle Dynamics (2012)."
