George Petrescu, P.E., PhD

George Petrescu, P.E., Ph.D., has received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is a licensed professional engineer.  He led the development of the Engineering Departments of companies that compete in various industries, including biotech, automotive, oil and gas, and industrial connectivity.  He is thoroughly familiar with all the aspects of product design, his 25+ years career having progressed from Design Mechanical Engineer to Project Engineer, to Engineering Manager, and Engineering Director.  His responsibilities covered the leadership of all aspects of developing new products: from ideation, specification, and IP to design, manufacturing, quality, and supplier engagement and to testing, validation, certification, and launch.
He co-authored several articles in national and international professional journals, reviewed several chapters in the American Society of Engineering Managers Handbook 5th Edition, and contributed several articles to linkedin.com.
