Overview   This webinar will discuss different reasons for treating water and the most common contaminates of concern.  It will cover the theory of various water treatment processes and discuss the applicability of each process.  It will also address common operating parameters and problems encountered.   In this course, the student will learn about aeration, clarification and precipitation, dissolved air flotation, filtration, disinfection, fluoridation, membrane processes and demineralization.  The subject matter of this course is based on not only water treatment for drinking water but also for various industrial uses.  The course is designed for a range of students including those with an interest in water treatment to student with advanced knowledge with a desire to learn more about other areas.       Meet your Moderator How Web Seminars Work             Learning Objectives   Those attending this eight-hour live web based seminar will learn:                         Primary and secondary contaminants and other contaminants of concern Different reasons for treating water Sources of water Aeration Clarification and precipitation Filtration Disinfection Fluoridation Use of high purity water treatment including membrane processes and demineralization

To attend this web seminar, you'll need a computer with a high speed internet connection (DSL or cable modem) and a phone line.  For your comfort, it is recommended that you use a speaker phone to connect to the web seminar.

Twenty-four hours prior to the webinar, you will be emailed a web address for the webinar.  On the day of the seminar, simply go to the website provided in the e-mail (you should be able to just click on the link in the e-mail).  You will be asked to enter your name and e-mail address.  And you will need to enter the password that was also sent to you in the e-mail.  Once you have logged in, a screen will pop up with the toll-free number to call. Please try to log in at least 5 minutes prior to the webinar as we will start promptly.

After completion of the web seminar, you will need to fill out a short online questionnaire to access your certificate of completion.  The questionnaire can be accessed immediately after the seminar through your login account.  In the questionnaire, you will assess how well the seminar achieved the stated learning objectives.

You may cancel your enrollment in this web seminar up to 48 hours prior to the seminar with a full refund, minus a $10 registration service fee.  Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the seminar, but at least 4 hours prior to the seminar will not be refunded, but will be credited towards future seminars.  Cancellations made less than 4 hours prior to the seminar are not refundable.
