Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Requirements

Continuing Education or PDH is known as CPD in Oregon

Oregon PEs are required to earn 30 PDH biennially. The Oregon Board does not mandate or pre-approve specific courses or providers. However the Board does state on the "Professional Development" page of their website that, "what the Board is going to be looking at is if the course is technical in nature and pertains to your license."PDHengineer has an Iron-Clad Money-Back Guarantee

On the other hand, the Oregon Administrative Rules, Paragraph 820-10-0635(2)(i) states "PDH units may be earned as follows: Non-technical educational activities related to the registrant's employment."

Given the confusion regarding the Board's position on the issue, it would be prudent to contact the Board for additional clarification before attempting to complete "non-technical" courses for PDH credit. However, online courses in "technical areas" are clearly allowed by the Board provided they pertain to your license.

Over the years, thousands of engineers have completed online courses that have been accepted by state licensing boards across the country including Oregon. In fact, we've never had one of our courses rejected by ANY state engineering board. We're confident enough to offer an iron-clad money back guarantee. If any PDHengineer.com online course is rejected by your state engineering board for any reason, you get your money back. Period.

In our online course catalog, you will find courses that meet the board's requirement covering all major areas of engineering practice. We offer a wide variety of subjects including today's hottest engineering topics. Our web based seminars give you the opportunity to attend a live interactive seminar without leaving your home or office.

How It Works

Completing a PDHengineer course is easy.

  • Search for a course, then study the course material.
  • Click on the Take Quiz button at the bottom of the course page and follow the instructions to create an account.
  • Complete the short online quiz. The quiz is scored automatically by our system. A passing score of 70% is required. You may retake the quiz as many times as required until you pass.
  • Instantly access and print your Certificate of Completion online.

PDHengineer.com has more than 2,500 hours of engineering continuing education online. It's convenient and cost-effective since you can take the course day or night in your own home or office.
