Edward Brunet, Jr., P.E.

Overview

This subject matter for this course is The International Plumbing Code:  A Guide for Use and Adoption* published by the International Code Council (ICC).  This document was developed by the ICC to assist in the analysis of the International Plumbing Code (IPC).

The IPC is founded on plumbing principles utilized in the plumbing codes of more than 30 states across the U.S.  Every code requirement in the IPC is based on sound engineering principles, years of research, and field experience.  Additionally, every code requirement in the IPC has been enforced in a plumbing code somewhere in the U.S.  The Guide document developed by the ICC covers the major technical provisions of the International Plumbing Code and provides the rationale and justification behind much of the technical content contained within the IPC.

This course is relevant to engineers responsible for designing, upgrading or maintaining plumbing systems, as well as engineers simply interested in learning more about plumbing system design.

The student must take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of twenty questions at the end of this course to obtain PDH credits.
