Small Business Safety and Health Management

Overview
Employers are responsible for providing a safe and healthful workplace for their
employees. OSHA’s role is to assure the safety and health of America’s workers
by setting and enforcing standards; providing training, outreach and education;
establishing partnerships; and encouraging continual improvement in workplace
safety and health.
In
this course the student will learn some of the basic OSHA requirements for
safety and health management for small business including topics in categories
of heating and ventilation, lighting and electrical work.
The handbook used in this course is provided to owners, proprietors and managers
of small businesses by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA),
an agency of the U.S. Department of Labor. The student is expected to read and
review the material contained in the Small Business Handbook - OSHA , OSHA
2209-02R 2005.
The student must take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of
twenty-two (22) questions at the end of
this course to obtain PDH credits.
