Overview
This five-hour course
explains how to read and interpret the financial statements of a business
enterprise. This is not an accounting course, but accounting is the language of
business and it is important for the understanding of the financial well being
of a business.
The course reviews the
basic financial statements including the balance sheet, income statement,
statement of cash flows, and statement of retained earnings, as well as several
financial measurements.
The
student must take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of thirty-two (32)
questions at the end of the course to obtain PDH credits.

Students

how financial statements are related

Recognize the sources and uses of cash in a business

how to calculate various financial ratios
